Alana is a stay-at-home mom to two imaginative boys, and she loves working with polymer clay. She had always wanted to try sculpting and decided to learn something new. She says, “When my two year old saw me rolling and twisting the clay in my hands, he thought it was play-doh time and said ‘Make a monster, mommy!’ and so I did!”
I’ve Created a Monster (aka LittleLadyIrish on Etsy) is home to all of her monsters, as well as jewelry and other holiday decorations. In Alana’s world, Monsters Are People Too, and she’s happy to create a custom monster if you’d like.

Meet Chris Wrinn of Gilded Owl Jewelry on Etsy ~
Chris knew from day one that she was going to be an artist. She started out drawing dinosaurs and horses, then transitioned into comics. From there, she ventured into fine and commercial art, working for agencies around the U.S. She still wanted to learn more, so she took classes in wire work and was immediately hooked. She then became interested in Precious Metal Clay, and Gilded Owl Jewelry is the result of all her artistic explorations in the world of jewelry design!

Meet Catherine Carr on Etsy ~
Catherine is a creator of creatures and curiosities (that’s a pretty impressive alliteration if I do say so myself), and she specializes in one-of-a-kind art dolls and sculptures. Her shop on Etsy has some amazing Halloween figurines, ranging from jack-o’-lanterns to skeletons and witches, as well as her original paintings and drawings.

Undiscovered Shop on Etsy: CORRUGATEDmosaic ~
In today’s Pouncing I ran across CORRUGATEDmosaic, a Vancouver-based Etsy shop offering some of the coolest recycled and found object art I’ve ever seen! CORRUGATEDmosaic creates intricately detailed art and décor from recycled corrugated cardboard cartons.
The shop has wall and desk clocks, picture frames, shadowboxes and even games. The mosaics rely on the subtle color of the paper, as well as the texture and shadows created by the corrugations. Are these amazing or what?
