Meet Kärt Urman of Sun In Hands ~

Kärt is an Estonian artisan who loves to create! In her country, there are knitting traditions that are passed down through the generations, and a song that says, Don’t knit a sun into my mittens – I couldn’t catch snowflakes that way. Her grandmother and mother also knit, and Kärt keeps the tradition alive. Her creations for Sun In Hands follow old techniques re-imagined in new ways.

Kärt says, I walk the streets and inspiration just flows into me. It can be some texture, color or emotion. I go home, grab my needles or hook and put it all in there. She prefers natural materials and experiments with natural dyes.
